PARENT INFORMATION NIGHTS, DEMONSTRATION CLASSES & COMMUNITY EVENTS:

Parent Information Nights:

Attending a free parent information night enables you to spend time with other adults understanding the educational processes that make MYC the best music education program available. Parent information nights are held at the Music for Young Children - Royal Oak Studio and we ask that only adults attend. Children are encouraged to attend the free demonstration classes.

At parent information nights, teachers demonstrate various hands-on aspects of the program, explain the different age-appropriate curriculums, discuss practice techniques, assist with completion of registration forms and answer parents' questions. Be ready to participate in a "mock class" and be sure to ask any questions you have!

If you wish to participate, please RSVP to info@MYCvictoria.com with your name, phone number and the age of your child. We will reserve a spot for you at the parent information night and contact you with further details. The next parent information nights are scheduled for ...

Demonstration Classes:

Attending a free demonstration class enables you and your child to discover why MYC is the best music education program available. Demonstration classes are held at the Music for Young Children - Royal Oak Studio and parents must attend with their children.

During demonstration classes, children enjoy participating in a fun "mock class" that contains all aspects of the program. We will play rhythm instruments, learn musical concepts, make crafts, move around, sing and even play the keyboards. Children experience a dynamic MYC class in action and parents gain an understanding of their role in the class learning process. It's a fabulous time for everyone to share music learning together!

If you wish to participate, please RSVP to info@MYCvictoria.com with your name, phone number and the age of your child. We will reserve a spot for your family in the demo class and contact you with further details. The next demo classes are scheduled for ...

Community Events:

The teachers at Music for Young Children's Royal Oak Studio strongly believe in community spirit. As such, teachers regularly volunteer their time presenting music related activities at various community events during the summer. We hope your family can come along to experience music within your community, try out some of our instruments and join us in making a free drum craft to take home.

We look forward to seeing you at the following fabulous community events ...

"MYC provides the necessary structure for learning to take place while allowing children the freedom to think. Children
are empowered to set goals in their music learning while experiencing a playful, positive environment."
