REGISTRATION DOCUMENTS 2011-2012:

To reserve a seat for your child, please complete a registration form, sign the parental agreement and mail them along with the payments outlined above to Music For Young Children - Royal Oak Studio, c/o 2595 Affirmed Place, Victoria BC V9B 6W5. If you are registering more than one child, you will qualify for family-pricing so please contact Michael Smirl before completing the paperwork. Also, please print a copy of the Policies Form for your reference.

After your registration has been received, you will be emailed a confirmation with details about your child's MYC class. If a class is full, we will ask if you wish to be added to a waitlist or scheduled into a different class.

If you do not see a class time that works for you, please contact us. Additional classes may be added if the music studio is available. Please contact Michael Smirl with your class time requests. Classes require a minimum of four students and are limited to a maximum of six families. Classes with insufficient registrations are subject to cancellation, and class dates/times are subject to change.

TUITION 2011-2012:

When you register a child in MYC, you are reserving a spot for the duration of the class. Sunshine, Sunbeam and Moonbeam classes are year-long programs, and we cannot "re-fill" a child's seat after classes have begun. Therefore before registering, please take time to seriously consider the commitment required for MYC. Determine, from the start, that you and your child will "stick with it" by attending classes regularly, completing home assignments and daily practicing keyboard pieces. Please CLICK HERE to read the Refund Policy. A $25 processing fee will be charged for NSF cheques.

Registration:
A $45 non-refundable Registration Fee is required to reserve a seat for your child in the Sunshine, Sunbeam and Moonbeam programs. Receipts are available upon request.

Curriculum:
Payment for the entire curriculum fee is required upon registering. If you are registering more than one child, please contact us about family pricing. Level 1 music kits include a music manual, student activity book, parent guide, carry bag, castanet, CD, music dictation tin sheet and magnets. Curriculum fees cover all materials required for the year including special events and recitals. Taxes are included in the prices. Please make cheques payable to MYC-Victoria/PJ Music. Receipts are available upon request. If you are registering more than one child in an MYC class, please contact Michael Smirl about family pricing for curriculum tuition.

Lessons:
No taxes are charged on lesson fees. Please make cheques payable to MYC-Victoria/PJ Music. Receipts are available upon request. If you are registering more than one child in an MYC class, please contact Michael Smirl about family pricing for lesson tuition.

• Music Pups & Sunrise: $100 for 10, 45-minute lessons. That's only $10 per lesson! A discount on lesson fees is available for families registering more than one child. A cheque for the entire lesson fee is required upon registering.

• Sunshine, Sunbeam and Moonbeam: $680 per year for 40, 1-hour sessions consisting of lessons, recitals and special music events. That's only $17.00 per session! A discount on lesson fees is available for families registering more than one child in MYC classes. Post-dated cheques for the lesson fees are required upon registering. The following payment options are available:
  • One cheque in the amount of $680 dated the first of September.
  • Two cheques dated the first of September and January ($340 each).
  • Three cheques dated the first of September, December and March ($226.67 each).
  • Nine cheques dated the first of every month September through May ($75.56 each).
